WORKSHOP BOOKING TERMS

WHAT TO EXPECT

I have been running photography workshops for more than a decade and aim to provide a relaxed, practical and safe learning environment. Routes and locations may change to make the best use of the weather, tides, light and safe access.

BOOKING CONFIRMATION

Your place is confirmed once the required full payment or deposit has been received through the website checkout, or confirmed by email when paying by BACS.

For one-day group workshops, experiences and photo walks, you will receive a booking confirmation followed by the meeting details shortly before the workshop.

For residential and multi-day workshops, further practical information may also be shared by email or through a private workshop group.

Please check your spam folder if your confirmation does not arrive.

ONE-DAY GROUP WORKSHOPS

One-day group workshops, experiences and photo walks are normally paid in full when booking.

If you cancel in writing:

More than 28 days before the workshop: a full refund or transfer to another available workshop.

15 to 28 days before the workshop: a 50% refund.

14 days or fewer before the workshop, or if you do not attend: no refund.

If I am able to resell your place, I will refund the amount recovered, less any direct non-recoverable costs already incurred.

These group-workshop terms do not apply to private one-to-one tuition. The cancellation or rescheduling arrangements for private tuition are confirmed separately with the booking.

RESIDENTIAL AND MULTI-DAY WORKSHOPS

A deposit is required to secure a place on a residential or multi-day workshop. The remaining balance is due 60 days before the workshop begins. Bookings made within 60 days of departure must be paid in full when booking.

Deposits are retained when a participant cancels because a place has been reserved and accommodation or other advance costs may already have been committed.

If you cancel in writing:

More than 60 days before the workshop: the deposit is retained and any amount paid above the deposit is refunded.

31 to 60 days before the workshop: 50% of the total workshop price is refunded.

30 days or fewer before the workshop, or if you do not attend: no refund.

If I am able to resell your place or recover committed costs, I will refund the amount recovered, less any direct non-recoverable costs already incurred.

PRIVATE ROOMS

Residential workshop places are sold individually. Where accommodation is included, each advertised place includes a private room unless the individual workshop page clearly states otherwise. Group capacity is fixed at the number shown on that workshop page.

CANCELLATION OR CHANGES BY DIBS PHOTOGRAPHY

If I have to cancel a workshop, you can choose either a full refund of the workshop payments made to me or a transfer to another available workshop.

Workshop locations, timings and routes may be changed when necessary because of weather, tides, access or safety. A change of location or itinerary does not automatically mean the workshop has been cancelled.

I cannot cover travel, accommodation, insurance, equipment hire, booked leave or other personal costs. Suitable travel insurance is strongly recommended, particularly for residential trips.

WEATHER AND SAFETY

Outdoor photography is weather-dependent. Workshops normally continue in changeable weather, but safety always comes first. If conditions are unsafe, the itinerary may be changed, postponed or cancelled.

PARTICIPANT RESPONSIBILITIES

Unless a workshop page says otherwise, participants must be at least 18 years old. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian who is also a paying participant.

Please tell me before booking about any mobility, medical, dietary or accessibility requirements that may affect your participation.

Participants are responsible for their own camera equipment, personal belongings, suitable clothing, footwear, travel insurance and personal accident insurance.
