Spend an afternoon exploring long-exposure landscape photography on the Norfolk coast, finishing with a coastal sunset.
We’ll work with moving water, waves, shoreline structures and changing coastal light, covering the practical techniques needed to create controlled long exposures while still leaving room to respond to the conditions.

WHAT WE’LL PHOTOGRAPH
The precise coastal location will be selected closer to the day according to the weather, tides, light and safe access. Subjects may include waves, groynes, sea defences, shoreline details and wider seascapes, with the session building towards sunset.
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
You’ll get practical help with shutter speed, exposure control, filter choice, focusing, tripod technique and composition. We’ll look at how different exposure times change the appearance of moving water and how to work efficiently as the light changes. Tuition is adapted to your experience.
TRAVEL
Travel to, from and between workshop locations is not included. You will need your own vehicle and should be prepared to drive between locations during the day. Any parking charges are your responsibility. Final meeting details and directions will be emailed before the workshop.

Approximately five hours of small-group photography tuition
A maximum of five photographers
Location planning around the weather, light and tides
Practical guidance throughout the workshop
WHAT TO BRING
Bring your camera, charged batteries, memory cards, a sturdy tripod, suitable outdoor clothing and footwear. Neutral-density and graduated filters are useful, but you can still learn and photograph without them. If you’re not very familiar with your camera, bring the manual or download it to your phone before the day, as mobile internet cannot be relied upon at every location.

This is an outdoor coastal workshop and the location may change to suit the conditions. Safe access always comes first. If severe weather makes the day unsafe, I’ll contact you about the available options.
