After more than a decade of running photography workshops across Norfolk, one request has come up again and again: can we photograph both the coast and the Broads in the same day?
This workshop makes that possible. We’ll begin on the Norfolk coast, working with the sea, shoreline, coastal structures and winter light, before travelling inland to finish photographing one of the Norfolk Broads’ windmills at sunset.

WHAT WE’LL PHOTOGRAPH
The exact locations will be chosen closer to the day according to the weather, light, tides and safe access. This lets us make the most of the conditions rather than following a rigid route. The day will combine coastal subjects with the quieter waterways, reed beds and windmill landscapes of the Norfolk Broads.
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
You’ll get practical help with camera settings, composition, filters, long exposures and making the most of changing light. Tuition is adapted to your experience, so you can join whether you are learning the controls or refining an established approach.
TRAVEL
Travel to, from and between workshop locations is not included. You will need your own vehicle and should be prepared to drive between locations during the day. Any parking charges are your responsibility. Final meeting details and directions will be emailed before the workshop.
WHAT’S INCLUDED
Approximately five hours of small-group photography tuition
A maximum of five photographers
Location planning around the weather, light and tides
Practical guidance throughout the workshop
WHAT TO BRING
Bring your camera, charged batteries, memory cards, a sturdy tripod, suitable outdoor clothing and footwear. Filters are useful but not essential. If you’re not very familiar with your camera, bring the manual or download it to your phone before the day, as mobile internet cannot be relied upon at every location.
WEATHER AND SAFETY
This is an outdoor workshop and the route may change to suit the conditions. Safe access always comes first. If severe weather makes the day unsafe, I’ll contact you about the available options.
