Photography Workshop in Assynt, Scotland – A Breathtaking Adventure Awaits!

Join me for an unforgettable yet another amazing Scotland photography workshop experience in the stunning and rugged Assynt region of North West Scotland. Based in a remote, idyllic location nestled among iconic landscapes, we’ll explore dramatic coastlines, majestic mountain vistas, and hidden gems. This is the furthest north you can go in the UK, and at this time of year, the famous NC500 tourist traffic will be minimal. Plus, with the midges gone, we’ll have many of these spectacular locations all to ourselves. With the Northern Lights at their peak, this is one of the best places in the UK to potentially witness their awe-inspiring displays (weather and solar activity permitting).

Accommodation
Stay in comfort at a restored historic church offering private rooms, just minutes from a bay perfect for sunset photography on our first night. Our accommodation is ideally situated near stunning sunrise and sunset beaches, towering cliffs, and picturesque mountain views.

Photography Opportunities
This workshop is designed to immerse you in a diverse range of traditional Scottish landscapes, including:
Coastal Wonders with dramatic cliffs, rock pinnacles, turquoise seas, unspoiled beaches, lighthouses, and charming fishing villages. Then moving Inland, reflective lochs, woodland trails, and awe-inspiring mountain vistas. Then if luck is on our side there will be plenty of time for night photography, with minimal light pollution and clear views of the northern sky, our location offers a prime opportunity to capture the Aurora Borealis.

Planned Locations
We’ll explore both popular and off-the-beaten-path locations across Ross and Cromarty and Sutherland known mainly as the Assynt region. A few select highlights include:
