Join our Cromer sunset photo walk and enjoy a relaxed evening of photography around one of Norfolk’s most iconic seaside locations.
We’ll meet at the car park at 6:45 pm before taking a slow walk down towards the seafront. Depending on timings, there may be a chance to grab some chips if anyone fancies it, although food and drinks are not included in the price.
From there, we’ll head down towards the beach as the tide starts to go out, giving us a great opportunity to explore the shoreline, Cromer Pier, beach textures, reflections, long exposures, and the changing evening light as we move towards sunset.
High tide is at 6:23 pm, with sunset at 9:24 pm, so the evening should give us a lovely window of time to work with the receding tide and hopefully some beautiful colour in the sky.
This photo walk combines seaside landscape photography, long exposures, architecture, and coastal details from just before sunset and into the early evening light, all with a fun and social atmosphere.
For just £20, you’ll enjoy a relaxed setting where everyone, including the organisers, will be shooting. This is perfect for photographers with a basic understanding of manual camera settings, through to those looking to refine their skills alongside like-minded people.
Although not a structured workshop, throughout the evening, we’ll discuss different techniques while photographing subjects such as Cromer Pier, the beach, the sea, coastal architecture, movement in the water, textures in the sand, and the changing light around sunset.
I’ll also have several landscape photography filter kits with me that people are welcome to borrow during the walk. This is a great chance to try using filters for long exposures, controlling bright skies, and balancing the light around sunset without needing to own a full kit yourself.
The session starts at 6:45 pm at a public car park with nearby parking and will finish just after 9:30 pm. Possibly a little later if we get a good sunset.
