Norfolk's Best 1 to 1 landscape Photo Workshops
New to the workshop list is some shorter one 2 one sessions that I am running.
Rather than the usual format of going to various locations and trying to cover a lot in 1 session, I have added a shorter, more affordable workshop that is designed to focus on 1 or 2 things to assist you in taking the next step in developing your own photographic practice.
These 3 hr sessions can start at sunrise, finish at sunset, be in the middle of the day or even at night and cover whatever you need, help with filters, composition, focusing, metering or even just general all-around photography assistance.
Just get in contact before or after booking to arrange a suitable date, and we will take it from there.
These sessions are for anybody who has a fundamental understanding of the manual controls on their DSLR/CSC camera, right through to people who know how to use their camera and just want to improve their photographic practice.
Where will the workshop start?
We will start at a predetermined location that is convenient for you.
Some suggested locations depending on the tide or forecasted weather include:
- Brancaster.
- Brograve Mill.
- Caister on Sea
- Happisburgh.
- How Mill.
- Hunstanton.
- Mundesley.
- Norwich city centre.
- Overstrand.
- Sea Palling.
- Snettisham.
- Thurn Mill.
- Winterton.
How do I teach on the day?
This relaxed session will be filled with socially distanced photography tuition out on location in Norfolk.
The sites we visit are carefully selected to avoid people and crowds as much as possible and any equipment you borrow will be thoroughly disinfected before and after you use it.
The session will focus on landscape images in the well-known areas of the area of your choice.
The session will be solely tailored around your needs, so in brief, you will have somebody to show you what to look out for in creating those perfect images before you have even got the camera out of the camera bag.
What experience do I have as a tutor?
Throughout the session, we will be discussing the theory behind making work, what stands out and what sells, what makes a well-balanced image, and how can we get that image we see into our cameras. This comes off the back of my many years of commercial photography experience and time spent studying photography as an art form.
As one of the ambassadors for Formatt-Hitech filters, a UK based, yet one of the world's largest landscape filter companies, they fully support me in my work and pass on my knowledge of photography as I meet their high standards of excellence through my sessions.
Five years studying landscape and architecture photography to Master's degree level with some of the best mentors and tutors the country has,
I spent over four years of teaching and writing workshops for all levels and ages of photographers for the country's biggest photographic retailer Wex Photo Video.
I have picked up a few awards along the way, and I have exhibited and been published worldwide, just check out my Shows and Awards page.
