Kent Coast Sunset Workshop. 22nd August 2020
Kent Coast Sunset Photography Workshop.
Saturday 22nd August 2020 - Starting at 3 pm till 8:30 pm
The Kent Coast Landscape Photography session is another amazing location packed session I have decided to run and follows on from the successful sessions I ran in the area during 2019.
While I have been visiting this coastline for the past 4 years visiting family, I spend a lot of the time walking the counties amazing shorelines photographing all the stunning locations.
This workshop is aimed at anybody who has a very basic understanding of the manual controls on their DSLR/CSC camera, right through to people who know how to use their camera and just want to improve their photographic practice.
Where will the workshop start?
We will start at a predetermined location. The session is timed to make the best of the tides and the sunset for the time of year.
How do I teach on the Kent Coast Seascape Photography Workshop?
The session will focus on the landscapes in the well-known areas of the North Kent area of coastline, showing you how to maximise on shooting in different lighting conditions and tide times
This is four students to one tutor session, so you know you will get all the help that is needed to maximise your learning from the day.
The day will be solely tailored around the group's needs, so in brief, you will have somebody to show you what to look out for in creating those perfect images before you have even got the camera out of the camera bag.
By the end of the session you have a full understanding of what all the setting on your camera do and get you away from shooting automatic modes, you will be taking control of your camera and the settings and letting the creativity start to flow.
What experience do I have as a tutor?
All-day while shooting we will be discussing the theory behind making work, what stands out and what sells, what makes a good image and how can we get that image we see into our cameras. This comes off the back of my many years of commercial photography experience and time spent studying photography as an art form.
You know you will be in good hands on the sessions with myself.
- I spent 5 years teaching and writing workshops for all levels and ages of photographers for the countries biggest photographic retailer Wex Photo Video.
- As the UK ambassador for Slik Tripods and also as one of the ambassadors for Formatt-Hitech filters, a UK based, yet one of the worlds largest landscape filter companies, they fully support me in my work and passing on the knowledge of photography as I meet their high standards of excellence through my sessions.
- 5 years studying landscape and architecture photography to Masters degree level with some of the best mentors and tutors the country has.
- I have also picked up a few awards along the way and I have exhibited and been published worldwide, just check out my Shows and Awards page

You will use and get hands-on experience with the Formatt Hitech Filters used for landscape photography and how to use them correctly and what filters to use to create certain effects
